A stunning pair of original Venetian mirrors, each of tapering form and etched with a floral border,
One plate shows a male warrior holding a dragon with a Lion at his feet, the other a female warrior holding aloft a chalice with sword at her side.
The fashion for decorative mirrors in Venice in the 18th Century was at its peak, and as such a demand for more elaborate designs upon the glass grew, not only were mirrors being used to look at your reflection but to reflect light and to make a statement of wealth and prosperity.
Here we have an exceptional quality pair of mirrors which have the original and now heavily foxed mirror plates,
